I'm worried the table is set for another mid-term elections rush if Dem's gain more seats....market may not even have time to normalize before that happens.

I am not a proponent or opponent of either party, so let me ask this....

If we had all all Republican Senate and House on every state level as well as in the federal government, would the sky open up with rainbows abound while little fairies would sprinkle diamonds on us and gold would fly out my arse? I see a lot of democrat party hate on this forum and the impression I'm getting is that if everything was Republican that everything would be sihny, new and perfect.....and it wouldn't be. BOTH parties are part of the SAME system. It's like arguing that if you chopped off your left arm, then everything would be ok because now only the right arm exists. Both are part of the same body.

What we need is someone outside of these parties to lead.

What you say is true, BUT being this is a gun site and the conversations are primarilly about guns, ammo, and shooting, you will hear more negative comments about democrats. They are the ones that are trying to pass gun legislation, not the republicans. As far as social and economic issues, that is left up to what your personal opinions are on those issues as to who back.

This is a firearms forum, and Dem's are the ones that typically try to pass anti-gun legislation. IF this was a LGBT or social justice website you would hear opposite rhetoric. I totally agree with your assessment of the two party system.

Besides, Dem's just promised to come back after guns....shouldn't we take them at their word?

XDM45, does that mean you'll vote for Franken and Klobuchar in the next election?

It's obvious that whoever runs against them would be ones to vote for. These two voted for Obama's gun control bogus. Remember, it's a step in taking the whole 2nd amendment away!

Not to speak for him, but I think he means that all of them (D's and R's) would throw anyone under the bus.

Pretty much you got it.

"F U!! I got mine biatches!!" is the attitude. The ONLY thing that matters about Washington is STAYING in Washington.

As another poster pointed out on another thread (sorry I forget who and where it was on here), the MPPA of 2003 passed under the Dems.

See, my point is they (politicans) will throw us under the bus. Many people are here arguing Dem vs. Repubs, but it's the SAME TEAM! One is the left hand and the other is the right hand of the SAME BODY!! It doesn't matter if they shoot you with the left hand or the right hand because your arse is still getting pumped full of lead. Too many people are focusing on one party vs the other and not on us, the 99%. Repub vs. Dem is a great way to divide people.

It's akin to everything being "terrorism". LOOK OUT! Be afraid! "THEY" may get you!! DANGER! RED ALERT! ORANGE ALERT! etc etc etc. The more focused you are on that, the less you can focus on something else. That's how pickpockets work. One distracts you while the other robs you.

We the people REALLY need to pull our heads out of our proverbial GI tract and look at the bigger picture.

I can think of a few politicians that switched parties.

Now think about that. If they were REALLY against "Them", they would NEVER ever do that. So what motivated a politician to do that? Money? Staying in Washington? Think people! Think and put down the gd Kool Aid for a minute.

What we need is people in office that aren't career politicians. Give me the pot smoking, nudist hippie in a polyamourous relationship who go to swingers clubs on the weekend. Seriously. Hell, when Jesse Ventura was in office, we got money back. Was he perfect? No, of course not, but then who is? He WAS a breath of fresh air though...and as I've mentioned before, when he won all of the news stations were shuffling papers and stumbling on what to say because they had 2 stacks, one for Dem and one for Repub, they never counted on someone outside those 2 parties winning.

The sooner we stop the pissing contest between Repub and Dems, the better of WE will be because we've wised up to their game.

Is this your way of soft-selling us on the political party that, to a large degree, wants to erase the 2nd? Yeah, I get it... not all Dems are bad. Not all Repubs are good. But look at the votes on 2a issues. Tell me how a Minnesotan who values the 2nd can vote for Amy or Al.

I get that not everybody votes about guns. I even get it if you don't. But be real. You're in MN on a GUN forum. The out-state Dems are generally on our side, but look at the votes coming out of the metro area, and tell me with a strait face that there is no difference between the parties where gun rights are concerned.
I got nothin'

Boy did this link stray, but since we have strayed off the Yellow Brick Road. We must realize that whichever political party was in power at the time of Sandy Hook would have attempted to do something to look like they were being proactive and concerned about the families involved regardless of the Second Amendment. We as a group run generally more towards the Republican agendas. But don't think they would'nt do whatever they felt they would need to do to stay in power and retain the popular vote. We would be just one Bus away from being run over. We need laws on the books to protect our rights, freedom, and security.

last word or paragraph. Gander Mountain is having a Grand Opening this weekend at Woodbury. See you all there. Lets hope they have some .22's. They are worth their weight in Gold. Don't know why, but I drink cheap beer and the world looks like a better place shortly after. :D

If anyone is interested in getting together for Breakfast after shoot me an email. They open at 9AM I will be there then. Chow! Oh and I'm not buying.

Tenmilmag was at the Blaine store this morning, said there were 300 people in line by 8:30, I suggest skipping the breakfast and go right there with your pop up and a heater.
Just like black friday:)
