When I got home today, the T.V was on CBS news (thought the kids knew better than to have that garbage on-even accidentally). I was stopped in my tracks because of the story. Apparently our president flew the parents of slain kids from Sandy Hook into D.C to lobby for the gun bill he is pushing. I knew this was going to happen but did not realize that the Dems were going to parade them around the senate with a slew of cameras to push this mis-guided bill. Do these poor parents know that they are being used by the lowest form of human evolution? I am sickened that they would stoop to that level to get something passed that is obviously not popular. What levels will they go to in the future to push their agenda? Maybe it's the weather pissing me off.
Why do it your self today, when you you can delegate it to someone else. MLLNHD 2/1/13

You should tune into the news feeds right now. Police have had several shootouts with the Boston bombers. One LEO dead (apparently by his own gun after one of the perps took it from him) and bombs being found all over the place. One of the perps is dead after setting off a small IED attached to his chest when the cops closed in. Perp #2 is still on the loose but the police think they have him boxed in. I've been following it on Arfcom all night. It's absolutely insane.

What I LOVE about that story is that the Mayor of Boston told everyone to hunker down in place...stay inside. ALL OF BOSTON because they couldn't find ONE guy with a gun and MAYBE a few small bombs on his person. Geeeezzzzzz.....never mind the every day murderers, rapists, thugs, and general bad guys running around. It's OK to go out and mingle with them on a daily basis, but watch out for this ONE guy who is cornered in a very small part of a neighborhood AWAY from Boston. What a crock! As it was, my understanding is the police sweep MISSED him and a citizen found him hiding in a boat parked in a yard AFTER the all clear was signaled! Nice work! :angryvillagers:

The disruptive impact of the entire incident will not be lost on the up and coming b- squad terrorists, douche bags, and wannabes. I heard it said that - just the lockdown- not the search/ police activity- but just the disruption of economic activity - was estimated to be in excess of $300 million.

As I am not one to typically watch the national 'news' shows, I was really taken back by all the discussions about how this incident would impact obama's efforts regarding gun control, immigration, etc. The media's perspective seem to suggest that the biggest challenge for the current administration is to use current events to bring that great unwashed mass in flyover country up to speed with those who know what's best for us.
