anothe good source is a place called guns & gear. It is located on the way from sheels, back to 94..Right across the road from Fleet farm, in a small white strip mall

Funny you would mention... picked up a very nice 10-22 there today. And some .38 special. Nice folks in that store 8-)

Observations from today:
Anyone who needs a smartphone to decide whether he should buy 9mm or 22LR is probably a (amateur) reseller, not a shooter (I saw no less than 2 examples of this in one sigle store inside less than 5 minutes).
A young woman (quite a serviceable looking unit, in fact) overheard on her cell phone asking "well which one is more valuable?" is probably not a shooter either.
Obama is not hoarding your 22LR, nor your 9mm.

If the quantities are odd I have used my calculator on my phone. Like when I got 350 packs at ff and I wanted to know the per round price after tax. Glad I got them when I did.

Just don't ask them for advice on reloading components. I had forgotten my list of powders from my reloading manual for .223 and asked them to recommend something that would work (yes, I'm fairly new to reloading). The guy there suggested that IMR 4350, which turns out to be not viable at all. Now I have a pound of that which I cannot use.

One reason they are not selling their display guns is that they probably paid less for them than they will for a replacement, plus they need stock to fondle so you are more likely to buy.
Or in the case of OOS you will order one.

Just scored TEN Gen3 Windowed Pmags at non-panic price!

:D :yippee: :goofydance: :booyah:

I think they were in-stock for about 20 minutes.

The two best signs I've seen are BCM barreled uppers staying in stock longer than out the last couple weeks. Basic standard and hammer forged 14.5 and 16" take turns being offered. Currently two 16" are available. And even better sign, the first top tier complete lowers from the factory since the panic (that I know of) came in stock yesterday. I snagged an assembled LMT w/buffer and stock for $380. Not cheap by pre standards, but ~$250 less than were bringing on Gunbroker.

When I started paying attention to GenBot about a month ago.. 9mm & 380 where outrageously priced and mostly out of stock. Today they are still outrageously priced but mostly in stock. Hopefully the next step is for the price to start trickling down.

Guess I'm just looking for a little hope. ;)

People are still being stupid on the Minnesota Firearms Trader on Facebook. People asking new prices for used stuff, and $1.00 per round for ammo. And all the new people are just whining on the site too. STFU people!

Was at Cabela's in St. Louis, MO today. No ammo....but 10/22's, lot's of FDE Glocks, and even some Shields on the shelf....ton's of AR's. Gun panic over, ammo panic in full swing.

I'd agree with that last statement.. there seems to be a pretty good number of guns and parts in stock (or much more frequently).. but now all those new gun owners shot up the 2 boxes they got when they made their purchase and are on the hunt to feed the beast. Going to be a while I'm afraid.
