Even Cabela's Gets it Wrong

Postby gearguy10 on Sun Apr 28, 2013 6:24 pm

I got the new Cabela's "Gunsports" ad in the mail yesterday and saw this ...

The picture is used twice in the catalog. I guess the camera guy and his assistant weren't into guns.

Um yeah...not being in possession of an "evil black rifle", I'm not sure what I'm supposed to looking for.

I wonder if it was this officer's rifle they borrowed for the photo shoot.

:rotf: It's always the loose nut holding them that's the problem.

I own an AR, and still missed it in the picture. How bad should I feel?

However, I just went and tried it out physically. That's NOT hard to miss. Ignoring the fact that it should be pretty obvious which end you stick the bullets into, it barely fits in upside down. Never mind staying there. You have to really try hard to not notice you're effing things up that badly.

Perhaps the photographer had an agenda?

Equal opprtunity. Female prodcut photographer and/or assistant arranging the items to be photographed. Or just someone without basic knowledge of guns.
