Hell no! I'm not nearly brave enough to do something like that!

No, not particularly.

That doesn't really have anything to do with that video, though. Crazy bastard trying to kill you isn't that common an occurrence even for cops. It's the everyday dealing with ******** that I couldn't take.

He has an AK versus pistols, but loses? Lucky for the cops he wasn't better trained or they would have been goners.

Kind of dispels the myth of what is so bad about "high capacity" magazines if you can't hit anything. Full magazine dumped at maybe 15 yards at the most, no one hit.

Nope, never understood why someone would want to be a cop. Deal with jerks mostly. Most everyone lies to you. You repeatedly deal with the same people that rarely change. When you deal with a normal good person, it is usually when they are the victim of a crime or accident. Most of your day is total boredom waiting for something to happen. And, there are people out there that want to kill you just because you are a cop.

Thanks to those that do want to be a cop.

Second to last picture shows the cruiser's windshield. If those were incoming rounds I would say he just wanted to provoke his own death. Those shots are very tightly grouped. But it could have been the cop shooting out the windshield too.

25 seconds from when the door open to when he hits the pavement and stops moving. They didn't even get around to calling for help until the last 8 seconds or so. Stuff happens fast.

Nope. I'd never want to be a cop. Too little pay for too much risk and too much inconvienance dealing with a-holes all day.

...and then we have the infamous Kyle Dinkheller video which is used for LEO training. This is what happens when you have a trained person with a rifle, using suppressing fire tactics, and an officer who was represented recently (recently at the time).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l972AfM7M_k

Of course in this video and in the Dinkeheller video, I'm sure that the AGers will use it as "proof" of "assault weapons" and "high-capacity magazines" being a problem, etc al. We all know the drill by now.

"Suicide by cop is about as chickens hit as it gets"

Yeah, it is. It's also pretty sad forcing someone to do your dirty work for you. If someone wants to use a gun on themselves, g-damn it, don't be an effen p-y... man up, insert it into your mouth, aim for the brain and pull the trigger if you really want to go that bad.

...and I have the right to say that. A friend of mine chose the "Suicide By Cop" (or "Blue Suicide") method back in 2009. I miss him. He was a good guy, but a troubled soul. http://www.startribune.com/local/stpaul/42622852.html

Sounded like he was screaming "Kill me, kill me!" near the end. WTF!! That's what you officer's have to have in the back of your mind at every traffic stop, this could turn ugly fast. The fact that most do it with the professionalism they do deserves respect.

Many details here.

http://www.policeone.com/police-trainer ... -a-second/

When the gunman moved to his right (camera left) he was trying to get an angle on the woman officer, who had exited the passenger side and come around the left rear of the cruiser, where her index finger was shot off (ow). The cop driving was shooting from inside the car to begin with. Not sure if his last shots were from inside or outside the car.

From what I understand, the tightly grouped shots in the windshield were outgoing fire.

I'd never want to be a cop, though not from this sort of incident (though these are really bad, rare days to be sure).

I couldn't take the mindset change needed (that all my fellow citizens are beneath me and guilty until proven otherwise), and the internal politics that occur in any government-based organization.
