I'm down.

But there's the current problem of ammo availability to overcome.

So Scratch wants to shoot 300blk - no biggie for me, but is he going to shoot up my ammo? I don't reload so others can mag dump it. ;)

Reread the list, and it turns out I have the top 3.... What?? Nobody wants to shoot a 41 Action Express?? How come that isn't on the list??

I edited my list just for you Sam. Now you have the top 4.

I have no idea what a 41 Action Express is BTW...

And yeah... We still have that pesky ammo availability problem to deal with.

Damn the man!

Well, as long as you're at it Scratch, add the 440 Corbon Magnum at position number 5.... Even less people have heard of that one, and it's a real doozy!!

And last but not least, I sure as hell wouldn't let anybody shoot their handloads in my gun, and how would I know with the ammo shortage out there if the ammo ACTUALLY used was factory or not?? I let anybody shoot my 50GI, but that's my carry gun and it's been in a holster and carried for 8 years. (Still looks good - that black finish they put on those guns is thick and tough as hell!!)

:? no one said you had to let anyone touch your guns.

I don't even have a safe :( I guess another item to acquire and a queen to put in it!

I have a very good friend as he lent me his 9mm S&W to practice with and take my PTC course with.
Had it for about 4 weeks, returned it to him cleaner than when he gave it to me. Trust & friendship is a special thing not to be tampered with.

I could loan (if I had one) to a family member or a very good friend like I have, but agree with others, meet on the range otherwise.

Maybe set up a "come try my guns" range day. At least it would avoid the issues associated with loaning stuff out.

This discussion reminded me of some ranges in PA, where you can rent their guns and pay per bullet. I'd be in for that so I do not have to find all this rare ammo.
Did you just buy that beautiful firearm, or are you trying to sell that piece of crap?

When at the range I have no problem letting a curious kid or a couple on date night try any of my guns and usually they return the favor, before the crisis I would politely load up 10 rounds in a magazine and let them sample the firearms, now I haven't hit the range in a blue moon so I don't know if I'd be quite that generous.

OGC has basically been doing this for a long time with the Women's Intro to Firearms.
Members bring a bunch of guns and the women rotate through and try them.

I remember one time I had a dozen or so pistols laying out and some guy came up to me and started to give me a lesson.
I told him to come back when it was time to clean them.

So let's call it "Intro to Sam's Unusual and Rare Safe Queens"!

If I'm in town for the meet I can bring the 1919A4, a couple of Webleys and Enfields.

I doubt that they'll be happy with me firing the Bowling Ball mortar, but if they go for it I'll bring it!

Even if we did a pay by the bullet thing, I don't know if people... Me included... Would want to let their hard earned ammo leave their shelves. Some of that stuff is made of unobtanium.

Need some more ideas on ammo I think before this thing is do-able.
