The irony of watching all the dramatic build-up of firing the 'potentially deadly' Oerlikan 20mm cannon... and then for Will to be hunched in there shooting it with his safety glasses (or were they simply sunglasses) stuck up on top of his head. Not that a little pair of safety glasses would do much with a kaboom from that gun, but there is at least the principle that they should try to do things the right way. I guess when the open the show with "don't try this stuff at home... we are professionals" they are half right.

Whoever came up with the idea of reality shows ought to be shot, twice. It is the absolute worse thing that could have ever happened to television. It's great for the networks since they don't have to pay real actors, real money. They make a fortune on it. They actually get half the people watching (or more) to believe that what they are seeing is actually 'real' and not 100% scripted like it is. The drama, the fights, etc...just like the Junior vs Senior garbage on American Chopper, all scripted. While I like the premise of Son's of Guns the show just does to many stupid things to keep me watching. Coming up with certain things and then saying they are all original ideas and have never been done before, please. A doorbreacher...a AR with a shotgun attached...oh no, that's never been done before. An AR with a grenade launcher attached, that's never been done before...are you serious, wow. The blowing everything up and Will's attitude and 'probably' fake accent, as mentioned, are just some over the top things that drove me away from the show. I watched for the guns but even that isn't enough.

As if Son of Guns isn't bad enough, I took a friends advice and watched Wild West Alaska last night.
This show is even dumber than SoGs.

Makes us gun guys look like a bunch of idiots.

Top Shot was one of my favorite shows, but the current one was taped almost a year ago.
History only signed for five shows, so this should be the last.
Also, the reason from what I hear for being so long in broadcasting this one is that History hid in the bushes from the anti gun people until now.

I'll stick with the shows that the Outdoor, and Sportsmen's Channels put out.
First class, and spot on.
