Who he's talking about are the people that suck hard on the d-k of Glock. "What? You need a pizza cutter? Well, a Glock can do that! You need a new car? Well, get a Glock!" etc....and that isn't me.

The fact of the matter is this, you have very little experience with other handguns and limited experience with your current gun yet preach XDM/S and scold Glock. This is the exact audience the person who made the video is talking about.

Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, however we happen to disagree. Believe as you like.

My opinion doesn't make me a spaceship flying brain surgeon any more than your opinion makes you Ed McGivern

Also, I love Glocks and reccomend them because they are the best tool for the job when it comes to reliable self defense with a decent capacity. They work. Thats what matters. I have owned several different models and they NEVER have had problem and there are MILLIONS like that out there. That, as well as their length in the marketplace, says something about a gun. Oh, and they pretty much all feel the same. LOL

To answer your questions XDM45:

No, I could not pick out my Glock, 1911, LCP, etc. from a group of identical guns based on the "feel". They're the same damn guns and feel the same. I also play guitar, and if I took another American Strat of the same year and held it I wouldn't be able to "feel" the difference either.....you must have some unique abilities....

That is obviously how he went from newbie buying his first handgun to expert dispensing advice in less than two years.

Which part? That you have limited experience or that the guy in the video thinks the problem with Glock is e fanboi's and not the pistol itself? If its the first you are huffing gold paint again. You've owned one pistol for a year and your expereince appears to be limited to stationary shooting in a gun bay. If its the second you need to re-watch the video again. They guy likes Glocks and trusts his life with one.

Fellow Forum Members:

has anyone stopped and really thought about any of the statements that XDM45 makes? No one person can be as far out in left field as he appears to be. I think he lays awake at night and thinks of comments just to jerk your chains. Maybe if no one posts answers to his comments he will go away. If you like getting frustrated and p.o.'d over his posts keep up the dialogue. I think he is laughing at us!!!!!!!

Not laughing at anyone, but for those who are so inclined, please feel free to use the ignore feature. No one has a gun to their head forcing them to read them, or me to write them.

To All,

I've made it rather plain on several things, but some misconstrue my words, troll, whatever, so for the final time...........

1) Glocks are great guns from the technical point of view, in my opinion. In that regard, I LIKE THEM. GASP!!!!!!!

2) I don't like the feel of Glocks. It's a personal preference thing from holding them and firing them. Great guns technically, not a great gun for ME. If they work for YOU, rock on. Buy 'em to your heart's delight.

3) I don't care what anyone shoots. I'm not pimpin' XD, Ruger, or any gun. I favor none of them for anyone except myself. I buy what I like, what fits a purpose, and what works for me. If anyone has a problem with that, bummer. That's their issue, not mine. It works the other way too... if I don't like the fact someone buys a Glock and I don't like it, bummer, that's my issue... the thing is, I don't care what anyone else shoots. So it's not an issue for me. Find what works for you and use it. It certainly doesn't matter to me. I'm not getting a cut on the monies you spend on your guns. I wish I was!!

4) I get the guy in the video likes Glocks. I also get he dislikes the fanboyism of it, and I agree with that.

5) Yup. Owned guns for a couple of years, but that doesn't mean I'm a complete noob to them either, contrary to the opinions of some on here. I'm certainly no expert either. (Of course my opinion is some of the folks here are first-class a-hats, but what does either of our opinions really matter anyway except to ourselves, right?) I fired .22s when I was a kid, black powder rifles, a few pistols and rifles over the years, but I never owned any until the past few years. Do I geek out on guns, reload, have a safe full of them, collect them, drool over the a gun I want to buy, etc? Nah. As I've long said, to me, their a tool. If I need a gun for a certain purpose, I buy it, that's all.

6) Ok. I guess not everyone can feel the difference between like-models of their guitars, guns, cars, etc, but to me, (and to many others I've known in life), they can. Take 2 of the same anything and to me, it feels different. (For example, my wife and I have the exact same year, make and model of car, both cars handle differently.) I'm not going to debate this with anyone since there's no real point to it. Take me at my word on it or not, doesn't matter either way because it doesn't change it for me at all. In cars and guitars, the differences are much more pronounced, same thing with other musical instruments as well, with guns, it's much less so, but it is there, at least for me.

So with the previous posts here, I finally had to watch the video to see what was going on.
I thought the video was pretty good, he made some valid points and I love this statement,
"Glock is the Honda Civic of the gun world."
That would make a good sig line for someone. ;)

Hey, I owned a Honda Civic! Just sold it recently, and of all the cars I've owned, it's my favorite by far. The perfect match between sexiness and functionality, just like my Glock 19!

It really is the hallmark of good taste. Consider it the entry fee to Club Awesome. ;-)

my first 9mm was a Glock 26, carried it for about a year, got rid of it because of my big hands even with a mag extension. I bought a CZ PO1 and a Ruger SR9 and they both were better for me than the G26. I also bought a G17 which shoots very well for me, but my favorite would be the CZ. Glocks are ok, but they are not my favorite handguns, since in my opinion the grip and trigger could be a little better.. Love them, hell no, like them, sure a little...

So even though technically it's a great gun, you don't like the feel of them. Sounds familiar. :)
