Aren't Glock guide rods plastic?

Nope...
I've been a Glock Armorer and Transitional Law Enforcement Instructor since 1989, and still use the factory Glock plastic guide rods in my 9mm's.

When did that change? Last one I removed (Gen4) bent pretty easy and everything I am seeing says they are as well.I've been a Glock Armorer and Transitional Law Enforcement Instructor since 1989, and still use the factory Glock plastic guide rods in my 9mm's.

Huh... I guess that could be, I looked at a G19 in Gen3 and Gen4 at the same time - thanks for the additional info.
As you may have guessed, I bought neither and got a superior weapon, an XD-M.

We know we have good guns and know the Glock-heads can't handle it - plus it's fun watching the Glock fanboys get all butt hurt over a poke in the ribs... they can dish it out but can't take it. I can't help that you like ugly guns, especially when there is something out there just as reliable, more comfortable and accurate as anything that size can be, it's only fanboyism that would make one even consider a Glock these days... Springfield and M&P are much better choices.

Sure they are.whay does the XDm stop firing then after 1000 rounds? Don't know? oh, the striker channel fills up with crud and the whol gun needs a detail strip and cleaning. how about dissassembly of the upper or lower? heve you done it on your gun? I have on my XD. All I can say is kiss my goat smellin ass, that glock is designed waaaay better with more rubust parts and can fire with half of them missing. XD can't. You ever look at the grip on a 1911 with a arched mainspring housing? hold one for a day and then grab a glock. a little thicker but the same arch in the palm. wierd...... how about the "match grade" barrels? bench shoot two of the same gun and show me the difference. or the M&p barrels that seem to be sloppier than a hennipin ave hooker and tend to rust up as quick? Your whoule argument is
"Well because, grip angle!!"
what else you got? I have all day![]()
start this test on your m&p or you xdm. let me know how you fare
