That's actually been proven false, you can operate it with a broken pin.

It might still work, or it might seize up. Lot's of threads on XDtalk where guys pistols were rendered inoperable...

Lots of people talking about the possibility maybe... It's pretty much a non-issue actually, but one company makes a replacement for those who feel it's necessary to do so, and the rare occasion of it happening it's from 1000's upon 1000's of dry fires.

Glock makes the best 9mm - XD is the best .45.

.45>9mm

Therefor

XD>Glock

I like the XD45 better than the G21 to. Glock needs to slim all their .45's down to the thickness of the new model 30s. I also like the XD better than the XDM, and I have owned both. Glock makes the best 9mm's for sure....Springer has the current edge in .45's...size/carry wise anyway.

I think all 3 of the fore mentioned polymer pistols are extremely comfortable to shoot and handle....I just got so damn used to the Glock grip angle I tend to aim everything else low when I draw. I do think it is the more ideal grip angle to, close to the intended JMB design of the 1911 grip actually...

I'd like to know. Based on what I've seen at events, I bet Glock sells more pistols to civilians than the other two combined...but I really have no idea.

Wow. Same ol same ol. I've owned Glocks and today I prefer the XDm. I've been shooting my 5.25 competitively for 2 years now without a hickup that wasn't user induced. The striker pin deal is pretty much BS. I dry fired my gun thousands of times, but swapped out to an aftermarket pin due to internet hoopalah. When I did so the original pin showed zero signs of wear.

Basically all the major brand polymer guns made now are exceptional weapons. Which is great for us.....shoot what you like and be happy.

I can tell you this though. As a guy that runs local matches and aids with LEO training. I've seen a **** load of Clocks fail. Sorry to burst some ya'lls bubble, but they ain't any better than the rest
