I'm personally a Glock guy, but I've owned XD's and M&P's. I like them all. I just ran a stage out at SHTF shoot at Ahlmans last Saturday and watched a lot of shooters, and for what it's worth, it is obvious that the XD series of pistols is VERY popular. I would say I saw more XD/XDM's then anything else. Glocks second most, followed by Sig's and HK's.

I'm heavily embedded in the firearms community and I currently own some very high end handguns. That being said, If SHTF, and I had to leave my residence with only one handgun, it would be, without hesitation, my gen 3 G21. Like it or not, Glocks will run with anything you feed them.

This mindless thread just inspired me to buy another Glock. A gen 3 20sf.....the big boy. Smith and Wesson and Springfield don't even have a 10mm currently . Amateurs.

Nothing would inspire me to buy another Glock, but I agree with the mindlessness part.

My next pistol will likely be a Glock 30S.

Has the SF frame and the G36 slide. Perfect. (except for grip angle, of course, but I will suffer through it to be consistent with my duty pistol.)

I used to not like the angle either. Now I realize it's the correct angle, when I try to use to other platforms (like my 1911) I find myself aiming in the dirt. Plus, the grip angle on a Glock is better for recoil.

+1 on the grip angle, used to hate how it looks now my G17 is my favorite handgun. Plastic is fantastic!
