It's all coming back. If you sold your excess on gunbroker for big $$$ two or three months ago, you did the right thing and can buy double what you had if you're patient and shop around now. If you're like XDM45 and sat on 25,000 rounds of .22lr through the panic you made a poor financial decision. Whether you "needed" the money or not ;)

What I get a kick out of are all these guys that bought during the panic and are now trying to sell for what they paid, because they maxed out their credit cards.. Even funnier when you make a fair market offer and the reply is "don't try to low ball me....that's less than what I paid for it". Yep.......well that's because you're a fool..... lol.

So you are saying now is the time to start hoarding again, got you ;) .

Just kidding... I passed up some 45ACP at Joe's today because I still have enough components to last me 6-9 months
Did you just buy that beautiful firearm, or are you trying to sell that piece of crap?

Still in stock today at the Rogers store for the same price. They must have had around 200 (50) round boxes.

What did he pay for his 22LR? Will he be able to replace it for that? If not sounds like he made a wise decision unless he's in the retail business. More to it than an over simplification. Every time you buy you pay taxes and spend time and gas. If your time is valuable it makes sense to sit. If you are desperate for cash then selling high is great, just realize it will take longer for the prices to come down than they went up and they may never reach pre-panic levels.

That's your opinion. I'd rather have the ammo than the money. Money is just a tool, just like ammo is, and for me, money is much easier to come by than ammo is. I STILL have 5,250 rounds of .22LR on back-order since January 2013. Hell, I can buy gold and silver easier than ammo these days.

Maybe a few hundred or thousand more dollars in your pocket will make a huge difference in your life, but it won't in mine.

I paid $21.99 for 525 Federal Bulk (Red Box). I bought them over time long before the panic period we're still now. I had (at one point), 20 boxes and have 10 left. I also had some CCI 100 round boxes at $7.99 each.

...and nope. I wouldn't have been able to replace it for that. Still can't.

As for the panic being over.... until I can get .22LR at 0.04 or 0.05 a round and .45ACP FMJ for 0.25 to 0.35 a round, yeah.... it's not over because we're still feeling the aftershocks.
