Stupid question time, would a rig like this where you are attaching a pistol to a long arm be the same as attaching a shoulder stock to a pistol and require special permits and tax stamps :?:

I gave this to my wife on our 20th anniversary. It's Colt 1908 .25acp pocket pistol. I believe it's had very few rounds fired through it and is in superb-mint condition. Made in 1922.

Here's a few of my sks's.

While I'm at it, here's a few more pre-WWII Colt pocket pistols.

Oops, can't forget the little M1 carbines.

Mike,

I am in awe of your carbine collection. NICE!

And since you seem to have a ton of SKSs, which manufacturer do you prefer? I have Chinese (90s) and Russian (50s) models, and I've heard the Yugo ones are excellent. Thoughts?

Thanks Dave and Belgiboy. I edited the pics to links. For some reason, I was losing part of each pic, but now you can see the whole pic with each link. Btw, I've added 3 more carbines since this pic was taken.

I like all sks's, but it's my opinion that the Russian is neat because it's the prototype. The Yugo is probably built a little more sturdy than the others to support use of a grenade launcher. But, if I had to pick just one favorite it would be the Albanian sks because there are less than 6000 still in existance. At one time, I had 5 Albanians, but now only have 2 (far right in pic).

Mike,

That's good to know about the SKS. I love my Russian one because it's milled and solid. It feels significantly nicer than my chinese one. If I ever see another Yugo or an Albanian I think I'll pick it up on your recommendation.

Regarding your M1 carbines, are any of your new ones one of these?

It's the only carbine I have, but I plan to get a couple more (early and late, don't care about the manufacturer). This one is 100% correct and in excellent condition! I corresponded with Bruce Canfield at length, and went through every part in Reisch's book. It was the most fun I've ever had in gun collecting. I won't tell you what I paid for it because you'll probably cry. It was about ten years ago before carbines went crazy.

Dave, I think all sks's are milled and machined except the Chinese which many parts are stamped from sheet metal.

Very nice M1A1. I have to assume it's a Inland. What serial # range is it? And no, I don't have one. I do have one carbine from every maker, however.

My latest new toy. Shown with GP100 grips from my grip box. Looks better than the stock rubber.
