I had no problem shipping a G31 back to Glock using UPS from their hub on Opperman Dr.

There's usually no problem dealing with a hub or depot, although for pistols you have to pay Next Day Air. Contract Shippers and UPS stores are prohibited from shipping firearms, however.

I always ship "motorcycle parts".

Unless it is 50BMG brass which has a unique sound when shook. "Not firearm parts" and shipped by USPS - "if it fits, it ships".

I've shipped tons of guns with all of the big 3 and it's hit or miss with all of them. It mostly just depends on the person you end up dealing with and how well they know their own company's rules. The easiest solution is to just print your own label via UPS online and schedule a driver pickup from your house or work. If you don't have a regular pickup, it'll cost you an extra $11 or so, but it's completely worth it for the time and frustration you will save yourself over bringing it in and rolling the dice.

Dang, I took an ar upper to the ups store in uptown and when she asked what was in the tube I just said "gun barrel." She was unfazed, shipped without any problems.

Yep, that's one of several likely outcomes. Now try it about 40 more times and get a taste of all the other fun possibilities.

GOOD, and when they find out I am shipping legally, maybe they will start asking the proper questions, not the personal interest questions which targets packages for theft.

Hub is fine, the UPS stores are the issue....they are a separate company but still damaging the UPS brand

Spot on. UPS stores are privately owned and have their own polices. I tried to ship a lower to JP for finishing and my local UPS store said no. Took a trip to the hub in Eagan and they took it no problem after answering a couple questions.
