Anyone use these?

I was thinking it might be useful in the chute of my snowblower.

Never tried it but I have read up on it...

The good is that it works very well for certain applications.

The bad is that is wear off quickly, leaves a "frost" on the surface of anything coated, makes clothes stiff.

Here is a good review:

There is another thread on here from a few months ago on this or a similar product.

I used it on my and my sons' hiking boots before a wet weekend of camping a few weeks back. I would never use it again. Left a heavy white glaze over everything on the boot. Ugly appearance. Nothing like the commercial where the light tan cowhide leather boots come out of the mud puddle looking like new. Camp Dry would have been better.

I'm going to do some googling on this but I think they suggest that you 'respray' with part 2 when the water no longer beads up readily....like that 3m stuff scotchguard.

I'm thinking the first thought would be on the snow channel for the snow blower....maybe a snow shovel...they show it being used on sneakers and wood...

I like the name....Hydro-Phobic. Afraid of Water.

Pam nonstick cooking spray works well on shovels and snow throwers although I prefer not to use it on shovels because the snow slips off before I get it where I want it.

I've tried WD-40 with disappointing results....I assume Pam is just vegetable oil.

Essentially, yes. I assume it has a bunch of carcinogens that make it less sticky.

I sprayed Never Wet onto my underpantz. Did it work? It depends.

Same experience here and thank God I did not spray this stuff on my $200.00 brand new boots. I sprayed it on my old leather work shoes as a trial and they turned a real nasty crusty white, the leather was stiff and crunchy but it did repel water and mud like advertised. I was able to rub in some boot oil to get rid of the crusty white but it took some doing and obviously lost the waterproofing, this stuff has its purpose but not on leather. I did put some on a paint stir stick and the stick came out with no paint on it which was cool, I'm also planning on putting it on a paint brush at work just to mess with the guys LOL. I'm also planning on trying it out on our concrete tools to see if it repels concrete.
