Care to share the reason he was banned? It wasn't for sock accounts.

Is this not a public forum? and the word moderator and forum in the same context seem a bit confusing... Other forums that don't have moderators seem to survive and even thrive. After I'm told by everyone, just go stay on those forums, just think about this forum, where it is, was, and is going.... also, in the years I've been trolling MNGuntalk I've heard more complaints over a certain moderate and know more than a handful of people who have left because of him. I'm not saying... just saying....

I don't think there's an admin here who can add/remove moderators.

If there was, they'd have enough power to fix what needs fixing.

Forums don't need admins. Not unless they want to upgrade software or something

No, this is a private forum . The public forum is on non-private property where the government may not abridge free speech as spelled out in our constitution. Here, behavior is spelled out in the rules and enforced by the moderators. It's our right of free association to choose who will be allowed to be heard. Your definition of troll, boor, heckler etc. may be different. In which case you are free to start your own forum with your rules.

Actually one moderator in particular makes up his own rules as he goes, which is why all the complaining and issues. If the mods followed the written rules that they expect others to follow we would t have these problems . The list of valuable members that left due to being mistreated by a particular moderator is long and distinguished. The problem is that there is no way to recall a moderator, and to call him out has only increased his irrational behavior.

You don't get to hear te extent or the details of how bad it is because the message is tightly controlled and posts deleted very quickly.

I'm a long time lurker and family of some former forum contributors ....

I know for a fact that Lies were spread about grousemaster after he was banned, why do you think the "Cobb *uckin sucks" thread was locked so fast as soon as people started asking questions and challenging the storyline ? It was left open until then, but as soon as questions were asked and the message was challenged the thread was locked.

I imagine I will be banned with no warnings and without breaking any rules just like so many before me. My posts will also disappear shortly, even though I haven't broken any rules.

Please link to these "lies". The biggest lie is the "I didn't do anything and that ******** banned me". If he followed the rules, he would still be here. Instead he plays the victim and bashes Cobb, the moderators and this forum on other sites.

The threads blasting Cobb here at MGT are still there, most other forums they would have been deleted immediately. In fact, I applaud Cobb for leaving it unlocked as long as he did.

That's incorrect, one does not need to break the established rules to be punished....that's been known for quite a while. toussi just made it clear these are only "guidelines" , which means the rules are flexible (if you're a mod anyway) . Go to the "Cobb *uckin sucks" thread and see where he says grousemaster has been emailing him and he had to be ignored. This was a lie as Cobb was actually emailing him several times. Only one of GM's emails went unanswered , yet Cobb made it sound like he was being harassed.

It was also incorrect that he was threatened, that's utter BS. He got called out in the thread for lying and basically admitted it.

Cobb actually played the victim by erroneously eluding to the idea that GM had been sending him harassing emails and another forum member threatened him.
