He won't have time to attack when he's busy performing that C-section on his wife in the barn.

I use Amazon. Since the Internet was built to withstand a nuclear war, I can always use my prime membership to get anything I want shipped for free to my door in 2 days.

The whole family is over weight. She's shooting w/o vision or hearing protection. Anyone who's seen a movie or played a video game will notice that she's shooting a single. There's a dilapitated shed (complete with raggedy-ass antlers) in the background. The whole thing screams, "Look at the silly hillbillies!"

Is this pretty much the theme of these shows?

Yes you're right. I too have had the same impressions of the show's theme so far this season. I do not feel it was this bad the first season.

I always keep plenty of food and ammo on hand but what I would do in the event of a societal collapse and tyrannical apocalypse is head to one of the western states. I can't see the boyz going to Wyoming or Idaho to wreak their havoc.

I will travel in my invisible helicopter. When I arrive I will live in a mineshaft.

Good plan. It sounds at least as realistic as your previous post.

And do what?
Unless you have a shelter already set up and stocked with supplies, you will most likely die in some remote place. Do you really think those country folks will welcome you with open arms, feed you, give you a safe place to stay? They will probably see you as an intruder and shoot you on sight to protect their property and insure their own survival.

Cobb and Erud,

I am probably more likely to get killed in the urban paradise of the Twin Cities than in a remote area of Wyoming or Idaho.

But not to worry. I have a place in Wyoming and spend more time there than I do here. I keep my prized Unimog there. I know my neighbors out there better than I know the ones here. I hunt and fish with them. We have dinner parties together. Fine people.

The people in this area have a very misguided view of the people in western states. They think it is the Wild West. It is not. Those people have their heads on straighter than some of the nuts I have come across here. They don't walk around with guns on their belts as the libs here would want you to believe. They leave their doors unlocked, etc. Life there is very different.

I'd like to spend more time in the western states than I do now but half of my work is here in Mn. and Iowa.

The guy in that episode clearly had some issues. If the people on Doomsday Preppers are going to be the only ones that survive, I have no interest in surviving.

Watch Doomsday bunkers sometime. The owner is a nerd with management issues and just wants to make fun things. However, that aside apparently the guy sells enough of his bunkers to actually make a living and pay a good number of people.

Some of the bunker designs make me laugh and the people who want them come off as not right in the head. One woman lives near a nuclear power plant. Her concern is that if the plant goes up, she'll need a place to live. The problem? Her land is like 45 minutes away. So apparently she'll have enough warning that the plant is going to go critical to be able to get in her car and get to her safe place before the radiation kills her. Oh, and she'll be able to do that with thousands of other people doing the same thing.

One episode had a guy request some dumb ass "defensive measures" installed in his. So the techs made some weird drop panel with spikes in it and a flame thrower hand rail. While the hand rail was actually not bad, the spike thing was JUST stupid.

Show me a "bunker" that can't be defeated with a few hours of recon (locate intake and exhaust) and a bag of feces.
I got nothin'
