Thanks for the links. The 929 looks nice.

Very cool and not just another piece of copy cat plastic.

I think I've found my next purchase....

Just in time for the new USPSA revolver rules, too. Funny how that worked out. Too bad my 627's already set up for .38 short colt. Don't know what to do here. I'm not so sure I like the 6" barrel, though. I think I would prefer another 5" barrel like my 625 and 627 but who knows.

What are the new revolver rules? from what i know about the games this gun is pointless as a "competition gun".

Do you have these, Joe? If so, what's the price?

Thanks!

We will probably start seeing the Remington R51 in about a month or two (for sure it won't be until after the SHOT Show). I expect them to be right around 400 bucks most places.

We ordered a ton at a trade show last weekend and I got a chance to hold one. I was pretty impressed, especially for the price.

Looks nice.

The new GP100 is a little too steep for me but looks pretty nice. I wish I could buy that wood grip for my GP100.

How about the glock 42? Price? ETA? List?

I am not a big Ruger guy (I still have 4) but I like that gp 100, would like it more without the "match champion" billboard, but still its the first ruger I have seen recently that really intrigues me. The 9mm smith is nice but I would want a short barrel. Heck even remington has a gun that interests me this year.

During this past week I finally started reading hands on reviews of the new Glock 42. By all accounts, ALL of the reviews claimed this firearm had a very soft recoil (utilizing the new generation recoil spring system) and was also very accurate. Most of these reviews cam from LE.

So, yesterday I went to a LGS to inquire about the ETA and MSRP. Contrary to what's been reported, these dealers have no official price from Glock. It will be under $450. The Glock's blue label program, though, IS offering LE the firearm for $319. Delivery date is January 20th. Most of the big box dealers are not keeping preorder lists. The store I went to I have been a frequent visitor since I moved here a few months ago. I purchased my newest Beretta there and sought out the gruff man who sold it to me. I was met with a smile and shortly thereafter was placed on their official list with a guarantee that I'd be one of the very first called when they arrive.

So now I'm stuck waiting for the next 180 hours. But who's counting.

S&W is releasing a 3.5" bbl PC 460XVR. Maybe I'll find a used one sooner or later; someone buys it, fires 1 round of Buffalo Bore ammo, and gives up on it. Then the beady eyed little rodent finds it....something I really need, of course. I like the 929 too.

Desert Tech MDR. I'm not a big bullpup fan, but the prospect of what DesertTech is possibly doing is getting me excited. Desert Tech (formerly Desert Tactical Arms) has a pretty exceptional reputation in precision tactical long range world. A multi-caliber bullpup is pretty sweet; especially if it is sub-MOA capable. Still no word on caliber class.
I would buy it in an instant if it were 7.62x51/.308 capable.

Today Desert Tech (formerly Desert Tactical) announced a brand new multi-caliber bullpup rifle dubbed the Micro Dynamic Rifle (MDR). The MDR converts between calibers without tools and, get this, it maintains zero between calibers with the iron sights. It uses a patent pending forward ejection system giving it the ability to kick spent cases forward of the shooter thus allowing easy transitions from shoulder to shoulder. It’s claimed the rifle is fully ambidextrous without any requirement to modify the rifle for either right or left hand use.

It has an overall length of 26″ (or 20″ with a NFA 10.5″ barrel) and a weight of 7.5lbs.

They don’t mention what calibers will be available, so I’m very excited to see what will be offered. Hopefully there will be multiple calibers available when the rifle hits the market.

The price is yet to be announced but I plan on getting as much information about this exciting new product at SHOT Show next week. Stay tuned for more information.
