Gun Show

Did anyone go to the gun show at the Minneapolis Convention Center this weekend? If so was there anything new?

I went both days. Someone had an Emerson cqc-6 knife. Pretty rare and spendy too. Wanted $1250 for it. Went back today but just couldn't justify it.

Saw a shield sell for $400. A fair price.
Also so an idiot shoulder a rifle and point it at my head. (This is the second time in 2 weeks this has happened to me. Last time was with forum member spartan. We were at a range when some jerk was aiming his rifle at people through the glass with his rifle. It turned out to be unloaded, but only found that out after I flipped out)

The usual dealers and it seemed slow for a Saturday afternoon. Not sure if they are new, but I did notice a billet AR lower from Pine Island(?) for $150. Not sure if Pine Island is the brand or where they were from. Looked ok and at a decent price point. Anyone try one of these?

After checking in my firearms, both with trigger locks, Seen some fella walking around with a pistol in each hand. No locks on them. Kinda a weirdo. I let security know. Other than that normal gun show. The collesium should be better tho?

I didn't go but I heard from a friend that there was a beautiful Colt revolver for sale there.

Their name is Island Tool & Die. Pine Island is where they are from. They were just at the Rochester gun show last month as well. I talked with them and it seems they just recently got into machining lowers. It sounds like they plan to do matching uppers as well.

I was thinking about going but how many Glocks can one look at. There is a fly fishing show this coming weekend. I have not tried it but it looks like a fun sport.

It looks like fun. I may give it a whirl this summer in Wyoming or Idaho. That show looks like a lot of fun.

I went there Saturday but was less impressed than normal. I did get a couple magazines for my Savage auto pistols and a couple boxes of brass 30 Carbine ammo for $18 each but that was it.

On Sunday a couple guys I know were at the Convention Center for their daughter's gymnastics competition. The one would run over there between his daughter's events (his wife would text him when to get over there) while the other was able to spend only an hour looking. Neither bought anything but the one is looking hard at a Kahr CW anything. Now he is researching the Kahrs for their warts before deciding on which one.

I went with a friend on Saturday, looking to pick up an SKS. Saw 2 there and I didn't buy one. Kicking myself now. A couple nice gentlemen from GOCRA were there, and Thunder John was way too busy moving product for me to warrant interrupting him just to say Hi

You have to at least hit me on the head and say hi when you go by.

Gun Show

I'll bet john would wave back if you beaned him with crumpled dollar bills. He'd probably even smile for fives! ;-)

It was nice talking to people Sat AM and a good way to beat cabin fever.

I threw money at him and ran with a box of Girl Scout Crack.

That warranted a smile!
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.
