One of the shots I like to try from time to time at the range is to set up two balloons about 6 feet apart, move back about 20 feet, and shoot two handguns simultaneously to break them both. Normally I will hold the two handguns about 3"-4" apart and pull both triggers at the same time. I must admit that success and I are not always close friends on this, but it is fun to try.
So, last night I decided to try again. Took a few shots (actually had some success) and decided to do one more. That is when I discovered that, although the spent casing does not seem to have much energy as it exits the gun, if it is "just right".....well....that is different.
I pulled the triggers....thought nothing of it....until the blood was obvious on my right thumb. The casing from the left hand gun hit my right thumb "just right" and took a small, but bloody bite. I thought that was interesting. Not sure if it is in the "stupid" or simply "interesting" category.
