I saw the gander ad where they said they'd be having the 22 bricks on sale, and still went to Joe's to pay a buck more instead (I hate gander). It's nice to have it available again.

I suppose I should hit up a couple wally's on my way north too.

Lol. Saw the same. Left them there for you, or who ever.

Gander ad doesn't pull up on the web site. What is the sale? When is it?

I found a bunch of 22 WMR, Hornady 30g v-max yesterday. Bought 5 boxes for $15 each. Not the lowest of prices, but technically below MSRP. That stuff is scarce.

I saw it, and IIRC it expired on the 7th. I didn't have any extra time to stop at the Rochester store last week, so I don't know if they had any left.

Rip Van Winkle wrote:It's not just gun sales according to the NY Post.

“People were buying guns and ammo in a panic session,” Dick’s CEO Ed Stack told analysts on a Tuesday conference call. Stack cited worries “around what would happen with gun legislation after the election.”

That panic ebbed last fall, and Stack said he expects tanking gun sales will be more of a short-term phenomenon that will likely level off by year’s end. Shares of gun giant Sturm Ruger dipped 3.2 percent Tuesday, while Smith & Wesson’s were flat.

With golf sales, however, Stack admitted that Dick’s is bracing for a permanent downturn, sending shares of rival Calloway Golf down 9 percent to $7.60.

“We really don’t know what the bottom is in golf,” he said. “I would expect that we would be less exposed to the golf business a couple of years from now than we are today.”

It's not just golf equipment sales, there have been more golf course closings in the last couple of years due to poor revenues. They are not being sold for housing developments either, they are just shutting down.

sigh, 22 is still RARE here in Roch.,
I think all the bs really started in 07 with the Virginia Tech thing and abt 35 people were killed. GW was in the WH.
Seems like there are more mass shootings every year lately.
Even if there were to be a rep in office, if there is another crazie shooter, something will be passed.

No, the REAL frenzy didn't start until November 9th, 2009. It won't end until November 2016. So to all of the "kids" in the back of the car: No, we are not there yet, and we won't be for another two years!!

ARE WE THERE YET?? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET????

Actually, it started in 2008, but it started before the election, and hit full stride on Jan 20, 2009 - the day the anointed one took office.
