So 3 shots takes me about 60 minutes.

I've resorted to only doing it to chrono 3-5 rds to keep the locals happy, but the sheriff has been out more than a few times over the past 10 years.

Could I suggest some bribery? This only works when it is warmer, start the grill up, throw some meat on, maybe some corn on the cobb, a nice salad, have cold pop/water handy... Invite them too food. I have hear the best way to a cops heart is threw their stomachs, this might work on the neighbors too. You could even let them have a go at the guns. :D

My son and I stopped by this afternoon. They are 'soft open' right now. Just getting up to speed. We got a guided tour of the place. Looks pretty nice, but I don't spend much time in any indoor range so I'm not sure how it compares.

They have a selection of handguns for sale and will have long guns shortly. They have a room with a video simulator that you can rent for something like $29 an hour. Looked pretty cool. They will eventually have an in-house gunsmith. They had three sections of lanes. One has about 5-6 lanes and target video screens. The other has more lanes but no screens yet. That one has a running man target. The third set of lanes is restricted to law enforcement (or special arrangment?) and has targets that move around towards and away from you. Shooters can open the table/gate and get closer, plus do actual holster draws for realistic law enforcement certification drills. Lanes are nice and wide. They will rent some handguns and they sell ammo.

I talked to a couple people there including one of the owners. She said the target systems were some of the most advanced available. I think they said it was $25 for lane rental and $15 for a second person. Looks like it will be a nice facility. I hope they succeed.

I'm a RSO at Osseo Gun Club. Yes, it does cost more the the others but this range was built from the ground up AS a gun range, not retro fitted from a former warehouse. While working I heard several comments on how nice and clean it is (well yeah, it is new) and also heard from more than a few former Bill's customers and why they don't go to Bill's anymore. I also heard that Bill's lowered their price the same day OGC opened. Think what you want, go where you want....but if you want a SAFE and clean range (one of the best and newest range air purifiers in the city) then try OGC once...maybe you'll like it.

Oh yeah, the owner Chris is running a couple of specials for a very limited time. 2 for 1 on lane rentals and also offering memberships for $40/month. Shoot all you want for $40/month but this special price is good for maybe the next week or two. Also, we don't enforce the 1 hour rule unless it's packed and people are waiting. As long as there are lanes open, you can shoot as long as you want. :D

Suggestion. You may want to not refer to it as OGC when referencing it. If you search this term on this forum you will see it has been used repeatedly for Oakdale Gun Club. I guess we will all have to get more specific now that there are 2 OGCs in the area. Good luck with your new range. Always good to see a new gun business start up.

Maybe this has changed, but the memberships I was seeing on FB were for lane use Monday-Thursday, and not Friday-Sunday and excluded leagues. $40 a month for beginning of the week might be fine for some. I don't shoot enough down here to make that attractive.

Bill's has been "$20/lane +$10 extra shooter for as long as you care to use it" for a very, very long time. https://www.billsgs.com/range

Thanks! Obviously, you have to register your DBA with the State and Osseo Gun Club is different than Oakdale Gun Club. I understand the confusion using the abbreviations....guess we'll all have to spend an extra 5 seconds typing out the full name each time. You CAN register abbreviations as DBAs...I don't know if either place has done that. However, if they did, there can only be ONE OGC. The State would catch the other one and disallow it because it's already in use. :D

If you shot TWICE a month, you just paid the same as at Bills. I didn't get all the details...perhaps it may be that Bill's dropped the extra shooter fee, I'm not sure. Just going by what some customers said. :)

Ok, I hereby designate OGC as Oakdale Gun Club, and OGC2 as Osseo Gun Club. Now there'll be no more confusion and people still won't have to read the thread to figure out which is being referred to.

I'd have to go during the beginning of the week, and I tend to shoot Sunday nights when I'm down here, or maybe Friday morning - until mid afternoon. It's a limitation which invalidates it's value before being a consideration. Aka Moot point. OGC2 is too constrictive to be appealing and I need to decide up front that I'm going to shoot there twice in a given month. What if Pat calls me up and says hey let's go hit the 200M range tomorrow? Now I've just pissed away $20 because I get in as his guest at OGC free.

Your call, I understand that. If the MOST you think you can get out and shoot is only once or twice a month, then yes, a membership is not financially prudent. Memberships are for the guys that like to go shooting 5, 10, 20 times a month. All I'm trying to say in this thread is that a brand new state of the art indoor range is now open....come on out and try it. If you like it, keep coming back, buy a membership....or not. If you don't like it, hey...at least you checked it out and know what others are talking about. It wouldn't be the worst $27 you ever spent. :)
