I've lost most of my hearing in my left ear due to either shooting, farm machinery, machining trade, or shooter in next lane.
Now I try to protect what I have left by using double hearing protection.
Being unable to hear anything when multiple conversations are proceeding is extremely frustrating .... I need to turn my right ear towards the person I want to hear, while telling everyone else to be quiet.

Again you are completely missing the point and not answering my question so I guess I will do the leg work and answer it myself. These stats were taken from the ATF Firearms Commerce Annual Statistical Reports as stated in the sources.

You will find these stats in:

And the 2014 report (http://www.atf.gov/sites/default/files/ ... t_2014.pdf) pg 15

Now the 2011 report dates the data as from Dec 2010. The 2014 report dates the data as from March 2014. The difference between those two data points is: 39 months! So sorry, but it's not 4 years.
