Gander had plenty today, but no where near the FF price. $229 for the 420ct. I would guess it's probably not going anywhere soon at that price!

Gander. Hmm. Drove right by. Better deals can be found on Armslist.

Still lots of places online you can pick it up for 42-44 cents/round. Just have to watch the shipping costs.

Was in FF and noticed they pulled all the cans of M855 with a note to the effect of they are not going to stock it on the shelves at the sales flier price.

I'm guessing the sales fliers were printed and enroute before the whole ban notice.

Recent development?? FF in Blaine had shelves full of it last night at approx .50 per round.

Flyer price is $165 per can of 420, just above 42 cents a round with tax.

A friend was at Cabela's Friday and saw a guy buy $1400 worth of it from them. He was bragging how he will double his money when it is banned.

Sounds like that guy picked himself up $1400 worth of range ammo, not sure what fool would pay close to a buck a round for M855 when there are more accurate and effective commercial loads available for that price.

People seem to go bonkers on the stuff if it is banned. Look at the AK market, I bought a Bulgarian AK 8 years ago for $250, sold it two years ago for $800. Now they are running around $600.

Just say Obama is banning them and the price will double over night.

I got back from gun shopping yesterday and found M855 ammo selling for around 60 cents/rd. At Gander (Woodbury) they had a large supply of 420 rd ammo cans priced at $249 or $599/1000 rds. I tried to have them match the Mills add that came out this weekend that was priced at $169/420 rds. They said if Mills did not have it in stock they would not match it. They called and Mills was out. I then went to Cabela's, all they had was 20 rd boxes selling for $9.99. Mills in Hudson had 120rd boxes for $69. I was lucky to have bought 1000 rds for $349 just before the ban.

If I find any deals I will make sure and post them. I just cannot in good conscience pay the prices they are asking for a round which IMHO is just so-so.

I have written all my congress critters and the ATF even though it may do little good because of whom I am "represented" by.

Yep, I've written my Congressman and Senators multiple times too...kinda think it's a waste of time looking as to who we have as Senators, but I do it just the same. I could care less whether steel core ammo gets banned or not, as I don't use it and don't have a need for it. What concerns me though is IF the ATF goes through with THIS ban, what's to stop them from banning hollow points or something else later? NOTHING, that's what. We MUST stop this incesant nibbling at our freddoms by government agencies emboldened by the unlawfulness of the Obama criminal group (his administration), or we won't have anything left to load in our guns.

Remember the closing of the LAST lead smelter in America by the EPA? Now we have to import our lead. Anything that's subject to importation can be regulated to death. Think about Russian made Saiga arms. What's still here is 2-3 more expensive that a few years ago. What's next on the agenda? Banning gunpowder sales to private parties? It just never stops.....(sigh). :flag:

FF Blaine was out of the 420 count $164 cans they are advertising, but had near 50 cartons of the 150 count 62 grain for $73 after tax. One box limit :(. I did find three boxes the same stuff at WM in BC, $75 after tax (2 still on the shelf). No .22 ammo to be seen today. Oh wait, Capra's did have some match grade and sub sonics on their shelf :). And I got their last package of .22 cal pellets for my Gamo air rifle. Sweet.
