It also makes "stolen valor" (impersonating an active or reserve soldier) a misdemeanor offense. (long overdue)

It also provides a means to remove parental rights from a rapist. Someone else pointed out that this could be abused by estranged lovers. Yes, I understand it also REQUIRES a conviction for this process to start.

hmmmm....

Now to just find a 300blk upper.....

This wasn't in the last version I read...

Except as provided in subdivision 3, a law enforcement agency may not operate a UAV without a search warrant issued under this chapter.

Unconstitutional (based on your description). I can't find the bill's text, though. Have a cite?

I already looked at 878 and didn't find anything. (Searching for "valor", "impersonate", "military", "award", etc.). Likewise with a general search of all legislation from the current session. Can you give me a short quote which will bring me to the actual language?

Reusse on the radio the other day just does not get it as do many who know nothing about firearms.

These devices will not be used by bank robbers. They will not make crimes easier to get away with. They do not reduce the report of a firearm to nothing.

They will save the hearing of firearms enthusiasts. They could enable ranges, in close proximity to housing, to be quieter and thus better neighbors.

I will never understand the anti gun people. They do not try to learn about things the tend to dislike. It is all knee-jerk and feelings.

Suppressors save hearing and reduce noise. They do not increase crime nor decrease safety. They might increase safety due to shooters being able to better communicate without hearing protection. What is not to like.

I'm missing something here. 609.475 is from 2014 and is unconstitutional. I don't see how adding more crap to a dead statute is a good thing. I suppose if you're just trying to pander to your constituents it might make political sense, but at the cost of showing a total lack of disregard for your constituent's fundamental rights.

2014 Minnesota Statutes
609.475 IMPERSONATING OFFICER.
Whoever falsely impersonates a police or military officer or public official with intent to mislead another into believing that the impersonator is actually such officer or official is guilty of a misdemeanor.
