This is true, and regardless of your reasons for voting the way you do, if you don't vote for the candidate that the intelligentsia deems the RIGHT candidate, you're sexist, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, or whatever else they deem as the "cause du jour".

A percentage of them, yes.
How do you think Obama got elected?
Same for Franken and Ventura.
They got an advantage in the election because of their race or who they are and I think the same edge was given to Dayton. In past years there was a Marian Anderson that ran for office in Minnesota, can't find the info now. But when he did, he pulled a lot of votes with very little campaigning or advertising because of his name.
So yes, there will be a percentage that will vote for Carly Fiorina because she is a woman, many want a woman as president or vice president and will support her for that sole reason.

Look at the MNGOP's best preforming statewide candidate last cycle.

I wouldn't mind that either. Some say that Fiorina would pull the women vote, but I know some see her as too hard, not compassionate, so I am not sure.

Check out the Fox interview the day after when she went to Makinaw Island MI. The interviewer really showed the softer side of her. She can be tough as nails when needed, but her compassion showed in that interview.....and it wasn't regurged talking points either...it sure sounded real and from her heart.
