Sometimes these guys commit suicide when they meet armed resistance. They don't wait to get shot.

I've haven't read all the details of this incident, but heard it reported that this in fact happened even before the police arrived.

Haven't been on in a while, been busy, but since winter is coming I have some time now...

Here's a little food for thought about "common sense gun control".....

How about starting with obamacare?

Sure, "obamacare" doesn't sound like it has anything to do with gun control. But in the past 15 years, how many mental health hospitals have closed in Minnesota? How many places refuse care to mentally ill people because they don't have the facilities or staff to handle them? How much government money has been taken away from these facilities causing them to close, and causing the lack of help for mentally ill patients, or people that need help?

What i'm getting at here, is how many of these mass shootings, are involving someone that had mental issues? How many times have we saw someone go on a rampage like Oregon, or newtown, and they have mental issues that needed help. Or how about that guy in Colorado that thought he was batman or whatever? and did the shooting at the movie theatre? and is trying to use a mental health problem as a defense? or insanity?

Maybe Obama's dream of "obamacare" needed to put money into mental health, instead of raising my premiums to make it feasible to insure the underpriviledged people that he loves helping out to get his minority vote to get him into office. Maybe with some money stuck into it, they can get the help they need, and get it into government that they shouldn't be allowed to own or purchase a gun.

Let's face it, any sort of other gun control, and the bad people will still get their hands on illegal guns. There's enough of them out there, and you tell anyone else they can't have a gun, and it's not like the thugs and gang bangers who are shooting every other person they encounter are going to peacefully give up their guns they illegally gained access to. And because of reasons like this, we all need to be able to carry to protect ourselves. Because it seems everytime you turn on the news, some young thug, who has a record as long as my you know what, has committed a shooting of an innocent person. Just like this young, 24 year old single mother in the cities. What a tragedy. But I also saw one thing covered that the one guy already had a long rap sheet.

You'll never get all of the guns away from the bad people. Never! No matter how hard you try, or what you do, you never will. They will always find a way to get their hands on guns, or another form or type of weapon to carry out the crime they want to commit. But, we can cut down on these mass shootings if we can get some money into mental health! Which is something obamacare seems to have failed to address.
