Steel for club

Postby rottenit on Wed Nov 04, 2015 4:06 pm

Our club is going to be purchasing steel targets to start steel shoots next year. Any recommendations as to the shapes, types and quantity of targets?

Thanks!

It really would depend on your set up. Buy a few different sizes and shapes. Then when you find some you like have a local laser cutting shop cut you as many as you need at a fraction of the cost.
PM me if you want any more info.

Usually steel shoots are handgun shoots.

Sorry I should have been more specific!

This will be for pistol shooting, I am envisioning something like the steel shoots, I cant remember the various types they have up there. The club is trying to start to transition away from bowling pin shoots and onto steel.

This is for Key Cities Conservation Club in Madison Lake, MN.

Thanks :)

If you think USPSA/IDPA may be in your clubs future you could look at

appendix B4 and B5. Pretty common shape anyway.

Can't go wrong with a plate rack either, but they are spendy, it's nice to have one on wheels, unlike the one I linked below-
