I only see $1000 there, if you see $300 and you're not life you better buy it.

I think you misread something.
Regular Life Memberships are listed @ $1000
There are qualified Life Memberships- Disabled Vet, or +65 listed @ $375

Back to $500 NRA Life Memberships will be $1500 next year

I appreciate the NRA, but I don't understand the point of the memberships.

I signed up for a life membership a few years back on a similar deal, not as much for member benefits, but to support the 2A lobby. Since then, it appears that "life membership" really only means that I am now on the mailing list for life. I get a steady stream of emails offering me everything from conceal carry insurance to a wine club membership.

Every year I get the offers to become a NRA member at big discounts. (I thought I was a member) I also get membership renewal notices, but I have not yet figured out why I would need to renew a "Lifetime" membership.

Thanks for the link. I looked for it last weekend but all I found was the $1000, out of my range. With this link, I'm now a lifer!
