They seem to have an interesting business model. Their website shows a huge inventory "in stock". In reality, the store has a very limited supply of anything. Of course, they are more than happy to order it for you. Well, no kidding. I can order it myself from Midway, Brownells, Amazon, etc.

From a guy who went on to do work for LuckyGunner Labs
I used to work in a gun store. It was not a happy time in my life...

I'm very conflicted about the Guns and Gear store(s). Their original store is not too far from me in Waite Park. I have tried to give them business several times but I usually walk away empty handed. The Waite Park store carries a large variety of powder at fair prices, but everything else seemed high to me. Their gun transfer prices are double the businesses down the street.

I went there shortly after the suppressor law was passed and asked if they were getting any in or doing transfers. I got a long rant from the owner about how Dayton wasn't a man of his word and should have never signed that bill and... and no one can buy suppressors and ... and he finally lets out that he hasn't gotten his class 3 yet - which would have made the conversation significantly shorter. I contacted Silencer Shop the same day and put in my order.

Adam - the son of the owner - shoots at one of the clubs I shoot at. He runs the store in Rogers. I've found him to be a knowledgeable guy and a great shot. Conversations have always been positive and seems like he's sharp. I'm relatively confident that if he were informed that one of his employee's muzzled a customer with a hot gun he would take action. Not that I feel a customer should be put in that situation in the first place(either being muzzled or contacting the manager).

I really want to support mom-and-pop, independently owned shops. But they make it so hard. I make trips to Cabelas at least every other month, and have yet to stop by the GnG store down there. I just don't have interest in wasting my time again.

So where and when can I collect my $50? I know my GF's shoe size and her favorite brand/style/color of shoe (and I could rank the 8 handguns she has shot in the last 4 years in order from her favorite to least favorite).

I think you have cheated on this test by ALREADY having let your wife shoot 8 guns, and apparently accompanied her to the shoe store endless times to see what she buys. How in hell you can have the patience to do that is beyond me.......
