Speaking of Gander, I stopped into the Lakeville one and noticed they had an ATN X-sight in their case. Seems they were just trying to get somebody into trouble. Hopefully they know something about that being illegal to hunt with in MN. Richard Tip would not be happy with them.

I wanted to ask them about it but didn't want to pull a number.

Oddly enough, about 5 years ago with the Women on Target class at OGC, I DID bring my Smith 500 with "midrange loads" (only 1500 FPS with a 325 grain bullet....) and had about 4 women shoot up to a full cylinder of ammo. (One shot two cylinders, after she shot up all the mags of 50GI ammo I had in the truck. :( ) None of them were over 5' 6" or so.... I was enough of a sadist to give each woman an empty case so she could take it home and show the "hubby" what she had shot that day   :P

So this hillbilly and his Asian wife go into a bar, and............????

Glad to hear of the good experience. It's been hit or miss for me at GM. Last time I went in there with my 10 year old, the guy in Lakeville was very helpful helping him pick out a .22.

No more illegal than any number of retail outlets selling weapon mounted spotlights. You can posses those items legally, just not while taking game.

Why I will agree you should be right, that is not what it says.

This falls under the 97b statute. As i understand it from chatting with legal counsel, 97b is a Fish&Game bill and only applicable to Fish&Game.

IANAL, remember what you paid for this interpretation.

Would be nice if that's correct, for now the thermal just gets used out of state.
