GOOD experience at Bill's

Postby Bitter Bastard on Fri May 13, 2016 6:23 pm

OK, I don't want to start a purse fight about Bill's, but I want to give credit where it's due. I went to Bill's in Circle Pines yesterday afternoon with a couple other guys from work along with 3 employees that were in from India for some training. They had never fired or probably even held a gun before. The guy at Bill's offered us the left side range which no one was on so we could have some more room when we told him the situation. It was a nice move, with the only caveat we were out of there by 6 if we chose to do use that range. I think they had a class or league coming in at that time. That wasn't a problem at all for us. The extra room and less noise from not having other shooters around definitely contributed to the success of the event.

We had a great time shooting and there were no safety incidents. We shot a 10/22, a couple Glock 9mms, a 1911, a 12ga shotgun, and a 9mm AR-15. BTW, I wasn't asked about paperwork for my SBR (yay!). The Indians all had a great time and shot well.

Anyway, way to go Bill's North.

It's nice to hear of a good experience at places. It seems we only hear about the bad ones most of the time. Thanks for sharing.

GOOD experience at Bill's

I've been going to Bill's at least weekly for around 10 years. There are obviously the occasional dumbasses who can't follow simple directions, and uncase behind the line, etc. but overall they are a great place to train at. Some people just need something to bitch about.

I like it. I'm not aware of any other place that will let you bring in multiple guns and shoot as long as you want for a flat fee.

Per BPR web sight
One person bring 1 gun $14.95. Unlimited time
Additional gun $4.00 ( each person is charged for a maximum of 2 guns).
Are you getting a good guy deal?

They never limit you on time. You can shoot for as long as you want. You can also switch from pistol to rifle without paying fees.

Also if you scroll down you will see membership information and one of the options is a Shot Card. It gives you the following "Good for 10 visits. You may have as many as three people and two guns on a lane for one punch, additional guns will be an additional charge." for $140.

And I would also like to add that Bill's will let you shoot buck/birdshots. I was pleasantly surprised as so many--if not all--indoor ranges in the metro area strictly prohibits it.
