Had the squirrel, chipmunk, and bunny targets.

My boy's targets looked like he took a 12 gauge to them. I need to get him shooting a bit better. He hates when I shoot his rifles and show him it is not the firearm.

I told him I was just opening the brain pan on ole chip there.

A smidge more than 6 feet. 30 feet.

Way to go Erik!

I'd like to point out to everyone that Erik also shot an (un)official state record of 599-39x at a Mid-Range Prone match this spring.

As for me, I picked up a Bronze Medal at the Leg Match in Duluth a couple weeks ago.

Thanks Mark, congrats to you as well. I know it's been a long road, but I'm sure you will get it done this year and will have a good story when it's over. You might finish with the most leg points of anyone in history! :cheerleader2:

Thanks Erik, My new goal in life is to see how many points I can rack up until CMP gets tired of me and gives me a badge just to get rid of me.

Thanks Guys.

Rifle is a bone stock Savage 12 F/TR, .308
20 MOA rail
Sightron SIII 10-50 x 60
Atlas Bipod
Fed 175 gr factory ammo
(pics to follow)

Wind was not a big issue, as it was mostly blowing straight up range maybe 6-8 mph... occassionally switching to a mid range cross, right to left a couple of times...caught me off guard.

Capstick was one of the guys who got me that addiction... Never been charged by buff, knock on wood. Truth be told, hippo on dry land and lion get my attention the most. You don't want to muff the shot on lion... One would not believe how quick they can be. If you want entertaining reading, read Ruarks Horn of the Hunter. That's exactly how I felt my first time there.

Horn of the Hunter is a FANTASTIC read. If that does not get you dreaming for a safari, nothing will.

Remember, with lions, it is the dead ones that will get you ;)
