Anyone have scrap 6x6's?

I'm looking for anyone that has some scrap 6x6 lumber. Would like a few pieces 10" or longer, I can cut down if it's too long. We use blocks of wood at my gun club on the rifle benches and the 6x6's are the best. We have a bunch of 4x4's but they are usually too low, requiring a bunch of sand bags or other pieces of wood to bring up the height. The 6x6's are much more stable.

Anyway, anyone in construction that can hook me up with some scraps?

If you can't find any, I know Menards has a bunch of lumber available with imperfections or bad cuts for cheap. I don't recall seeing anything as big as 6x6 but I haven't ever looked for that size either. If you have no other options, it might be worth giving menards a call to see what they can do for you.

Talk to one of your local contractors who put up metal pole type sheds. They always have cut offs.
