So how many Service Rifle barrels have you replaced now? And what would you estimate has been the round count on them?

Dang, I actually had to sit down and think about that. I come up with 3 for the Garand and this will be the 8th for the AR.

Single point cut barrels last longer than button barrels. I've gotten as little as 1500 rounds on a button barrel and as many as 3800. I got 4800 on one of my Krieger's before I lost confidence in it. My current Green Mountain/Keystone barrel is still shooting well, but has 3500 rounds on it and is getting retired before it craps out.

Your wife will be so disappointed that they mistakenly sent a gun barrel instead of the expensive jewelry you ordered for her. :P

I'm still trying to convince her that Midway USA is a woman's clothing boutique.

Must be Barrel Season.

OldmanFCSA, GoodDoctor, an I, just received our new K&P 50 BMG Barrels last week.

And I just placed my yearly order for Lehigh 50 BMG Brass Boreriders.
900 ea. 800 gr

2700 ea 808 gr.

My postal person is going to hate me this year (more than usual), when she gets the heavy boxes of bullets arriving.
