Join me tonight in raising a glass to George Kappas, the owner and proprietor of te Gopher Bar, home gor many years of the Best Damned Coney Island on the Planet, as well as home of a number of Open Carry Breakfasts over the years.

Love him or hate him, as you wish, and I don’t think he give a rat’s a$$ either way, but George truly was one of a kind, and a personality woven through the fabric of St Paul.
