I love how they don't mind taking away the freedom of children's expression, but if anyone says anything about their views it's close-mindedness. What I love the most though, the left are typically the people who are okay with abortions... it's okay to kill an embryo, but not a criminal who has obviously threatened someone

Wow, what a jump in logic. I thought we were talking about a rediculous you-tube video about a kid hiding a bunch of guns in his clothes. Who said anything about abortion or self defense. If you are saying that school age children (18 and younger) should be allowed to carry concealed to school than I am not on board with that. I consider myself a hardcore "gun nut" but I am not that crazy. I have a 13 year old and I am not letting him out of the house armed without me. Call me overbearing but that is that.

Not at all what I was trying to get across, I just wanted to show how strange people's views can get. Fear-mongering against guns, supporting a dress-code, as well as trying to make the connection between loose clothing and potential firearms possession. I was going to make a better, albeit more crude point originally, but I'll just make it now. The reason some highschool guys wear loose/baggy clothing, do you remember your hormones in highschool, and have you seen how the girls dress these days? I wore baggy clothing to avoid having to readjust every few minutes, not to conceal a ridiculous number of firearms.

Although Pat proved me wrong on my point, I was trying to show that your typical extreme lefty is going to support one type of death while crying foul on another, justified, type of death. Highschool kids should absolutely not be carrying, if I remember correctly there were fights periodically about things like stepped-on shoes, or bumping into people.

My apologies if you read my original statement as advocating some sort of pimply-faced, irritable, horny militia.

Though I do have to say as a father of a teen I have no problem with a no baggy clothes rule and would not be against mandatory school uniforms coming back into style, your point understood but non-withstanding. Call me old school I guess. This has nothing to do with gun concealbilty, but rather an ethos of learning that how one presents oneself is important. An especialy true leason (I think) for those of us who support a way of life/culture that seems to be often under scrutiny by a large enough segment of society to threaten that very set of freedoms we hold dear.
