Local (Saint Paul area) FFL's for transfer(s)?

Postby 28_days on Tue Mar 17, 2009 9:15 pm

I'm looking to do a few transfers. Any recommendations on local (to the Saint Paul area, specifically White Bear Lake) that charge a reasonable fee? Some of the local shops prices have gotten a bit ridiculous (Joe's, Bill's, etc.).

I know Tom gave me a good recommendation but I deleted his PM, sorry Tom!

Thanks!
Best Regards,

Another one that might be a little closer (they're in New Brighton). IIRC, they charge $20 for a transfer - might be $25.

Excellent, that's what I was looking for! Unless anyone has had a bad experience, he should fit the bill! Thanks!

OK. I used them back in October, and couldn't remember what I paid. Just remember that I didn't have any problems with the transaction.

Burnsville Pistol Range charges a $20 flat fee no matter the number of firearms being transferred (within reason, I'd imagine).

I have used burnsville pistol a few times. I like them just for the fact that they keep regular hours. The kitchen table FFL's have lives, leave town etc. and you have to work around their schedules, BVP is open quite a bit.

I used to use Al's, but he'll no longer transfer new guns (he didn't mine doing my AR, but he flat-out refused to do my current purchase) when he's able to order them.

I can certainly understand where's he's coming from, but I'm not going to pay 25% more to buy from him.
