Introducing Oath Keepers--Are You One?

Postby cmj685 on Mon Jun 08, 2009 6:05 pm

Guys,
I have been pretty impressed with a group I have recently run into. It is a group of law enforcement, veterans, etc. who pledge to refuse to obey orders to attack or disarm American citizens. Maybe I have been watching too much Jericho (a really terrifying picture of what could easily happen in America--if you have a strong stomach I would recommend watching it) but I think the day may be coming....

OATH KEEPERS: ORDERS WE WILL NOT OBEY

Click text above to read full length version.

1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.

2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people

3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.

4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control.”

9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.

10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

We will see what happens, but when these groups have to provide and protect their family under a type of martial law or government take over, their need for self preservation may make them rethink their position.

Sorry, for the most part I don't believe it.

Don't local police already actively do a lot of the things on that list under one exception to the rule or another?

Nahhhhh - I just subscribe to the cold, dead fingers oath - if Obama starts sending out his socialist version of the Einsatzgruppen to forcibly disarm American citizens, I will be more than ready to be one of those that die on the Lexington Bridge, and considering the current state of my health, it will be no great loss or sacrifice to me. And it won't be easy to get to me, either. From a 1,000 yards in to 500 they'll have to face 300 grain .338 Matchking bullets, and then from 500 in to 150 they will have to face semi-auto .308 HPBT's, and from 150 in it will be semi-auto 50 caliber 325 grain JHP's. Plus there is that diploma hanging down in the basement that says I have a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry......

Unless your turrets are in MOA and your glass in Mil... then the calculations will take to long so you might as well have the KD markers.

I found that Ochem lectures and lab were really handy for everyday life outside of college.

Cripes, my neighbors are no where near as fun. I should move toward the east evidently.

I don't think the shltzu across the street would deter unwanted guests nearly as well as the above.

DUHHHHH??? The range markers are telephone/power poles, and the furthest one away that I have a clear view of is 965 yards.

In addition, provided you use Sierra Infinity Suite 5/6 for your ballistic calculations, you can print out a dual table for MOA AND mil dot corrections that you can then laminate to the stock of your rifle.
