General Range Observations

Postby gunflint on Sun Sep 23, 2007 12:00 pm

Why is it that some days when your finished at the range, you just know that if the coach of the U.S. Olympic pistol shooting team was there, he would beg you to join. But a few days later after a range session, your thankful that you can carry two 15 rd mags because that's about what it would take to hit the broad side of a barn at 21 feet? (I'm sure it has nothing to do with 6 cups of coffee and 3 donuts for breakfast)

Also, anyone who doesn't think that shooting is good exercise doesn't pick up brass!

I hear ya, man. Some days it's like that gun just knows where to shoot, and other days it's determined to make you look like an idiot.

If I like how I'm shooting, it's all me. If something is amiss, surely it's the gun's fault. :)

I felt like that at the range the other day, firing reloaded ammo with Berry ammo. At 22 feet I could have done better throwing by hand. This was with a new Glock 27.After changing to Hornady things began to look better.

For me it's always that I can shoot better with someone else's gun. And the more I practice with mine, the worse i get.

Brit, You might be on to something. I've never been to an eye doctor but in two years I seem to have accumulated enough reading glasses to have a pair in every room in the house.

When Brit talks about cheaters,
he means hiring a ringer to take his place,

That's "FURRINERS" - not to be confused with Trappers or Furriers, both of which still exist up in de Nort Woods of Minnezotah.
