Talked with a nice lady from customer service. She called the corporate office to confirm. New policy. Sounds like they don't want to bother trying to differentiate between firearms and firearm parts when it comes to shipping to a FFL.

Guess I wouldn't bother buying anything from them if that's their stance.

Fleet Farm is owned by a global investment company now. (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co)

I don't know how hand's off they'll be. They also own Academy Sports, if that provides any insight.

Those things take time - I've worked for companies purchased like this. It takes time to get approved, it takes time to complete the transaction, it takes time for new management to get up to speed, and it takes time for them to actually change anything.

I've been noticing a change for a couple of months now, where their firearms counter seemed a little less AR-ish, with fewer accessories, and kind of a toned-down feel to it. So, I don't think what you're describing is anything new, and I don't think it's solely because of the sale (it could've been "cleaning house" in order to prepare for the sale, but it wasn't because of the new owners.

Oh, and based on my personal experience, employees won't be able to tell you much. Even if they know, they can't say anything. They'll be able to help you with new store policies, but they won't be able to tell you what's next or why things are happening.

Yeah.....let's just jump to conclusions as fast as we can. Thank you for providing this week's MNGT's "most ridiculous post". Saying Stuart Mills isn't pro 2A is like saying water isn't wet.

Mills Fleet Farm having a new policy of requiring ffl to ship upper receivers makes having supported Stuart Mills' congressional run worthless? I'm not 100% sure I'm following you here.

KRR wouldn't make changes that fast. Likely some middle management peon that doesn't know what he doesn't know. Not sure if I'd buy an upper there anyway if having it shipped, much better options online. To each their own.

I am calling him out. This new policy IS anti 2a. Either they reverse it immediately or there needs to be a backlash that they do hear.
