I hope prices drop soon so I can stockpile at a cheaper rate and buy some investments for the next time.

I had an order go out in under a business day last week, and it would've been here the next day (overnight) had fedex not sent it through chicago for whatever reason.

They still haven't shipped my stock completion kit for my ACE though. They had the tubes, but no springs or rifle length buffers. Plus it would've cost double if I pieced it together instead of holding out for the package.

Palmetto still has 77gr SMK's in 500 packs - got another one of those coming too. :D After loading up 390rds into mags, my ammo box is a bit empty.

It's not over by any stretch. One of my wholesalers carries 1,544 handguns. They currently have 4 in stock.

The prices I quote are auctions with bids. Not BIN, or reserves - the actual bids.

I sold a LPK with 2 30rd black windowed pmags for $213+15 shipping on tuesday - the guy got a good deal given what the mags and LPK's are going for separately. I figured I'd get higher bids with the combo. Guessed wrong, and still doubled my money. But it also convinced me not to sell my second spare LPK. I'm keeping everything I have left, and not waiting for higher prices: I'm keeping it so I have access if I want to make another build or need parts.

Larue is shipping stripped lowers to their customers that have been waiting in case a ban does happen with the intention of shipping them back when barrels are back in stock (on their dime). I wonder how many out there are from that.

Nope not over. 223/556 ammo going for $1 a round or more, when you find it available. That's ricockulous pricing!

Uhhhh, do you remember how long it took after Obama got sworn in in 2009 before the panic subsided?? It was TWO FULL YEARS and change before primer and powder prices got anywhere close to normal, and they never did get back to their 2008 levels. So get used to it for the long haul, and as we get closer to 2016 it may decrease if we have a decent candidate and the conservatives like Akin keep their fat yaps shut about the fact that they flunked high school "health" class.

A friend of mine just sold a DPMS AR-10 setup he had about $1200 into for $3800 on Gunbroker tonight. I'm shipping it out for him tomorrow. I couldn't believe it. The panic is in full effect...it's just worse in other parts of the country than it is here....

I'm surprised given the blue swing in the state government... sounds like permit applications are spiking locally.

I was at cabelas Rogers this evening and the ammo shelf's looked pretty empty, at least 22LR rounds. They are also limiting 10 boxes per customer (and it looks like that is not helping very much). Lots of empty spots in the handgun display as well.

Yep, It's rough out there. I still have sticker shock, hope it slows soon, I like to play on GB but it's out of my league these days.

Jesus! Why not just be patient and get one for $500 or so?

My 2,000 rounds of my favorite ammo makers Magtech .45ACP came today along with 40 of my favorite defensive ammo, Hornady TAP +P 230gr JHP.

I'm happier now than I was :) and the almost $1,000 was worth every cent of it. If you can buy a ton of ammo online, do it now.

I'm keeping 3,000 in reserve for now and have 1,000 to shoot for target ammo. I'm going to continue to buy as much as I can little by little, adding some to my reserves and some to shoot (for both guns, calibers). I may pick up some more defensive ammo, but I tend to not have a lot of that on hand and prefer to cycle it out in a yearly rotation. I love my XDm, but it's not a cheap date to the range like my ,.22LR is, so I've been shooting more of that one lately. The vibe I'm getting is .22LR is becoming increasingly popular. After my next purchase of an XDs, I'm going to get a Ruger 10/22 I think, but I'd like the BX-25 mags, which remains to be seen how available those will be, if at all.

On my drive home today I was mulling over the fact that $4,500 would get me 10,000 rounds of .45ACP, but the wife would kill me and the feds would look at me funny probably. Now I'm just waiting on 5,250 rounds of .22LR to show up and 12 mags ( 6 for each gun ).

The shortage IS out there since the .22LR ammo and the XDm mags are both out of stock. I also couldn't find any bulk ammo available for .22LR, so I ended up buying 10 boxes of 525 rounds each. Barry and Eric of Moss Pawn made a video about the shortage, and yes, as someone else on here said, it varies with different parts of the country.

I feel a LOT more comfortable knowing I'm sitting on some ammo and mags, regardless what may come.
