So as a property owner I (or my representative) cannot restrict someone who is legally permitted to carry a firearm to bring it on my property?

Sure you can, in Minnesota at least. If you discover a guest or customer carrying a firearm, you can ask them to leave, and you are allowed to put up a sign that warns people that that might happen. If they refuse to leave after you ask them, you can call the police. That person will be escorted off the premises and can be charged with trespass. If found guilty, they can be fined $25. Your rights as a property or business owner are preserved.
