Can't say I blame the stores for making this choice. Their prices and selection would likely not be great anyhow.

Things haven’t changed around there? Haha. I liked when they’d send their girlfriend in to buy ammo and they had no idea what caliber they were even looking for. “I need some bullets fo a glock” ok which one? To think it’s been almost ten years since I worked there already.

You would be wrong on all counts.

Apparently this clearance has been going on for 2 weeks but according to one Walmart manager it seems like everyone just found out about it in the last 48-72 hours.

It has been, but prices just bottomed out.

Two weeks ago the Henry big boy I looked at was $580 (down from $747), then $399, then it sold at $169.

Wish I was there that day

To sell at these low prices makes me wonder if they know something we don't.

1) You can blame them for making the choice to not sell guns because of perception and pressure from the left. And we should blame them.
2) There was a point in time, not that long ago where you could order just about any long gun through the Walmart gun counter if you new how the special order system worked and you talked them through it. The selection was prenominal for long guns. And the prices, lets just say I have 2 guns in my cabinet that I paid retail 1/2 the price through special order at a metro walmart than what Cabela's had them on the rack for. They ended special ordering of long guns when the threw guns out of the metro walmarts.

This just keeps getting better... I just found out there's a $50 rebate on Axis and Axis II rifles purchased in August 6 - September 15! That lowers my cost basis to $24 each! :D

The clearance guns are 99.99% sold out or on background check hold nation wide. I wouldn't waste time looking at this point. Super bummed I didn't get in on a Henry Big Boy .357 lever for $169 though

The Sartell (not Saint Cloud) Walmart has one clearance rifle left.
Camo Mossberg Patriot .243 WIN.
Reg $357 sale $184.
All other long guns are full price, not on sale.
(The Saint Cloud Walmart does not carry guns.)
