Actually, one other thing just came to my mind as far as defensive firearm handling was concerned with the rent-a-cop incident, and I suspect it may have played a role on the original incident that was never mentioned, and perhaps not realized in that case:

DUUUHHHHHH??? The whole freaking thing is being videotaped for sure!!!

All you have to do is go fetal and hang onto the gun for all you're worth, and eat Mace if you have to, and start screaming about being attacked for being a legal permit holder by some asshat for good effect, and you're gonna get a big, fat legal settlement from Best Buy or any other company that decides to let one if its goons starting beating up a customer. Probably the BEST reason to keep the gun in the holster to begin with. The jury will say, gee, they beat the crap out of him and he never drew his gun! No corporate lawyer in his right mind will ever let something like that get into the hands of a jury just for that reason.
