"Ladies night" tonight, Bills North

Postby tt3 on Thu Oct 04, 2007 10:19 am

We'll be there tonight at 6:30 or so. I hope to see some of you there!
If the lanes are all full and theres a long wait, we'll run over to Metro instead after window shopping for a while.

(We being my wife and I)

I would suggest to call ahead, they will let you know if there are classes or if lanes are reserved for other functions. I realize that they can not estimate walk-in traffic, but if half of the lanes are reserved, at least you know that you take your chances.......... ;)

The left-most of the four bays will be in use for a class, but it's unusual to have to wait for a lane during a midweek evening. Space shouldn't be a problem.

Well, it turned out to be "lady" night, sorry you guys couldn't make it, meltedeyes. It was likely for the best, though. There were a couple of gents testing their handloaded rifle shells and it made probably a bigger boom than someone unfamiliar to that would like.
Frankly, the first couple of rounds made me jump a bit too.
On a high note, we borrowed and rented a LOT of guns, I think we shot 7 total, and I didn't even get to shoot my .40! We've definitely narrowed the options for what we might buy for her to carry.
The list so far?
sig 239
s&w 9mm ladysmith (thanks prushin!)
s&w .38 spl

we might still try the Kahr 9, but not the pm9.

Man, we must have had nearly all the compact pistols out of the rental cabinet. HUGE props to the gent working the desk, he was INCREDIBLY helpful!
My wife was smiling when we left, always a good sign. Heck she even said, regarding the sig or the .38, "Maybe we should get both."

WEEEEHEEEEE
Gotta love 'er!
