Interesting. The site talks about "sharing" of information... Exactly what information does the FBI "share" with you? Would it be more complete than that "shared" via an FOIA request? What about that provided via court order, or through the discovery process?

Seems to me there'd be a trust issue there. How would you know that what the Feds gave you would be reliable?

InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. Come one he is just the Head of the Minnesota Department Of Public Safety (and i know his son a lot better as he is a client i do some executive protection for him ) But his dad is not the F.B.I and really, after watching Governor Venturas new show where talked about Infragard, i think i could learn some stuff from being a member and give them some people to keep an eye on.

And really as i already work for the D.P.S i think i should really move from state to federal goverment with stuff especially the rants of some clowns around here with their blogs and so forth. Talking to the Boss can only do so much, and seeing as the Feds have greater powers, and you would be surprised by the fact that there are people amongst us who have associations with groups that are on the watch list

I think you're looking for a conspiracy of some sort here where there isn't one.

Infraguard shares information relevant to large companies usually -- example, current threat environment to aviation as a result of the most recent attempted terrorist attacks. For those of us whose companies operate their own flight department that information could be valuable.

It also often gives us a forum in which to ask questions about situations and issues that are affecting our companies, etc.
