Glock Gunsmith?

Postby cmj685 on Sun Dec 16, 2007 6:51 am

Has anyone used or know of a good, experienced, Glock gunsmith in the metro area (preferably in the north metro area)? Who do you Glock guys use when you need someone good to work on your guns? Thanks!

He's hoping to find someone that can turn it into an XD. ;)

Or someone to put it back together after shooting the +P practice rounds I loaded up for him. :?

Perhaps what I was looking for is not so much "gunsmith" stuff as a little custom work. I would love to talk to someone about doing some trigger work on the Glock 19 I shoot with, and get some other ideas from someone who knows Glock. Nothing too serious, just basically, whatever it takes to turn my Glock 19 into a 1911 :D I want to be able to close my eyes and shoot the center out of the bullseye everytime. Can anyone help me?

Don't get me wrong. A good trigger job is a beautiful thing. But why are you trying to turn a carry/combat pistol into a bullseye pistol?

I can make that happen as soon as I clear up this little world peace problem :?

You can't make a Glock feel like a 1911, but I'd try installing an Ultimate Trigger Stop and a 8# NY trigger with a 3.5# connector.

At Bill's, Tom, John, Ryan and myself are Glock armorers.

I am going to call foul! You shot way to good at your first match, I think that instead of you doing something to enhance that G19 you should be made to shoot the match in January with your support hand!

I have heard that if you use a BFH to recontour the general shape of a 1911, you can make your own Glock. Is this true? Does anybody have the "how to" video?

It's a special Glock armorer's tool. Call Brownell's in the morning and they will set you straight.
