GndrMtn pricing

Postby phorvick on Mon Dec 24, 2007 3:12 pm

I know that there have been many comments, but just to add mine.

New Glock 19, no night sights...just plain stock; $649

UMC 250 round box of 9mm; $99

UMC 250 round box .45acp; $149

I had to buy something as one child gave me a $25 gift card....so, I overpaid for a box of .380 ($89 for 250 rounds), but $64 with card.

But...they did have a few good prices on .22. S&W 22A, $199; Beretta Neos, $199. But, most (all) centerfire were very over priced. Oh, no one shopping there either. No surprise there I guess.

Yikes! $649 for a plain Jane Glock???? That's robbery. They must not want to sell them if that's what they're charging for them.

If you find the right one, prices can be ok

Gander blaine had a manager who was willing to listen to reason on a lot of prices, but he's gone, new one does not have a clue, just says "its corporate, and we're the nations biggest gun seller", I was trying to tell him that he was charging more for a CPO Sig than a few places were charging for new and he refused to believe me, even when presented with evidence.

That said, They had two Cooper's in marked at 1,100 dollars, for guns which most would have had at 2000 or more, so hard to figure....

I know it is a corporate thing, like not allowing NRA or Minnesota permit to carry instructors to do classes at GM. Yes, a corporate thing when it came to not allowing instructors, other than GM employees to use their facilities for classes, but I think that has been backed off on some, at least that has been my latest encounter with GM.

But this quote might be something that will soon be in the past -
we're the nations biggest gun seller

With that type of mentality, they will be hard pressed to keep afloat.

Their new strategy really seems to be paying off for them: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=GMTN&t= ... z=m&q=l&c=

So, is it a time to buy or sell GM stock ??????

Personally, I would step back and watch.....
If you have it, I guess it may be too late. If you have been looking at it as a buy in, I wouldn't, but what do I know?!?!?

I was up at Maplewood Mall the other day and decided to wander into the Gander Mountain off of Beam Ave. They had a liquidation sale going, as apparently they are going to tear the place down and build a "Theme Store" (huh?). Seems crazy, I know that that store is less than 10 years old since it was built since I moved to the area!!

Last time I bought UMC 250 .45 ACP was $63 out the door at Wal-Mart.

Don't ask what I paid for 1000 rounds 115gr 9mm.....little hint, I got change from a score 8-)
