Stun Guns

Postby Davedon on Wed Jun 15, 2011 8:36 pm

I got a no name Korean make 300k volt stun baton with a neat little amercian flag on the handle  . Anyhow the thing is falling apart plastics cracked safety switch broke mostly just from tossing around in the car and it was weak could hold it to my leg for at most 15 seconds standing.

OSW OM11 150k volt got my attention but i dont know if i should drop $110 on something I've never tried on myself Or perhaps there just isn't a quality stun baton on the market too many gimmicky and cheap ones on the net. I have looked around locally and never seen any store carry such a device or maybe i'm just not looking hard enough. I have been through several stun guns now and none have met my expectations.

what would you guys recommend? any good products out there aside from TASER?

For stun guns, the current can be more important that the voltage.
In other words, 50-100,000v should be plenty to penetrate clothing,
and you want around 5mA (milli-amps) to really hurt (temporarily), so they let go in less than 1/2 Second.
